Social Inclusion Measures Committee (SIM)
The SIM committee is a sub committee of Galway County Development Board. It consists of representation from:
- State agencies such as the HSE and An Garda Síochána
- Local Development sector such as Galway Rural Development and Comhar na nOilean
- A local councillor and officials from the local government sector (Galway County Council)
- The community and voluntary sector such as Respond Housing Association, Gort Family Resource Centre and Galway County Community & Voluntary Forum
Its role is to work together to combat poverty and social exclusion in County Galway. In 2009 it agreed to work on 4 actions and this was submitted to the 2009 - 2012 CDB Priority Actions. Please click on the following link to read more - SIM Actions 2009-2012
