Promoting Innovation and the Knowledge Economy
Galway County Council is a partner involved in this European Project . This project aims to disseminate the experience of local authorities in four areas of Information & Communications Technology best practice to other partner regions across Europe:
- Online Spatial Planning (ePlanning) by Donegal County Council
- Wireless City by Derry City Council
- Integrated Aid System by EMCANTA,
- Cantabria eLocal by EMCANTA, Cantabria
Good Practices have been documented and disseminated to partners. It is proposed to have study visits in each of the transferring regions during March/April 2009. Partners will each develop an Action Plan that will aim to implement elements of the Good Practice within their own region through seeking integration of the plan into the Regional Operational Programme. www.pike-project.eu
